Perry’s Parlor
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
Pull up a chair, partner. Perry's Parlor is classic Spider Solitaire dealt on green felt in an Old West saloon parlor, with ragtime on the player piano, painted frontier face cards, and a whole family of spiders who drop by to celebrate when you win (but never every time).
For Windows PCs and Android phones and tablets. Free. No ads. No account. No tracking. Works offline.
Play it your way
- One, two, three or four suits. One suit is the gentle classic; four is the real test.
- Spiderette (one deck, seven columns) and Relaxed Spider (deal whenever you like).
- "Winnable hands only" is on from the start: every hand dealt has been solved first, so it can always be won. Switch it off for the old-fashioned luck of the draw.
Friendly and clear
- Big, easy-to-read cards and big buttons.
- Click (or tap) a card and it jumps to the best spot, or drag it where you like.
- Unlimited Undo. Hint shows you the move with a gold arrow and says it in words.
- "Finish it for me" when the rest of the hand is certain.
- Nothing you do can break the game, and it saves after every move.
Play the same hand as a friend
Every deal has a hand number. Give the number (and how many suits) to a friend and you play the exact same cards, then compare scores. No internet or account needed.
The parlor comes alive
- Meet the Spider Family: Deputy Dangle, Doc Webb, Silas the Golden Spider, Ma Webb and her pies, Granny Weaver, Banjo Bill and more, and fill in the Spider Family Album.
- The Parlor Gazette prints a front page when you do something special.
- Tin Star ranks, brass plaques, a Wanted poster for hands that got away, and the Ledger to keep your record.
- Ragtime, waltzes and cakewalks on the player piano, with a hoedown for every win.
- Holiday decorations, the 4:10 train, and a parlor that grows as you win.
- Prefer it plain? The Back Room keeps just the cards and the class.
Make it yours
- Eight felt colours, three card styles, four-colour suits, high contrast.
- Put your own photos on the back of the cards, in natural colour, old-time sepia or tintype.
- Several players can share the game, each with their own name and record.
Which download?
- Windows, easiest: the Setup file. If a blue "Windows protected your PC" box appears, click More info, then Run anyway. That only means the game isn't from a big company.
- Windows, no install: the plain .exe. Same game.
- Android: the .apk. Allow the install when the phone asks. When the Google Play version comes out, uninstall this copy first (that erases its scores).
